Support Events

At CFCC, we host a variety of information and support events for people living with CF, their families, and their wider networks. These provide opportunities for peer and social support, community networking, and information sharing.

Do you have ideas for future events or sessions? Do you want to be involved to speak or volunteer at one of our upcoming events? We would love to hear from you! Contact us at support@cfcc.org.au or 1300 023 222.

Celebration of Life

Held annually in Melbourne for all CFCC members, this non-denominational service remembers those people with CF who are no longer with us. We extend a warm invitation to you, your family and friends to join us for our Remembrance Service to honour the lives of your loved ones who have lost their fight with CF.

The service includes special readings, time for reflection and the opportunity for those attending to light a candle and place a rose in remembrance. This is a special time for the CF community to come together. We welcome all religious traditions and beliefs.

The Celebration of Life service will take place again in 2024 (date TBC).

If you would like to speak or volunteer at our Celebration of Life service, please get in touch at support@cfcc.org.au or 1300 023 222.

Want to remember a loved one, but cannot make it on the day? Contact our Support Team, who will include a memorial for your loved one.

Connection Opportunities

There are many opportunities to connect with others living with CF, outside of our programs. These include:

Facebook group for women with CF

Our Facebook group for young women with CF, Sister5Roses was prompted by a group of our young members who were looking for a space to connect online. This group is a place for young women with CF (17+) to connect with others who share a similar journey.

The Sister5Roses group can be joined on request and is a safe place for you to share your stories and hear those of other young women. We invite you to post, comment and share things that interest you… either CF-related or not. We want this online community to be a place where you can drop in for a chat, make new friends, have a laugh and share your views on things that interest you.

Regional CF Support Groups

In Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat there are three local CF support groups which can provide an opportunity for you to connect with other people and families living with CF. Each group is organised independently.

Are you aware of other support groups or opportunities for connection for people living with CF, or their families?

Get in touch with us at support@cfcc.org.au or 1300 023 222.
